Mt Sinai Center for Health & Wellness
Mt Sinai Center for Health & Wellness is a 501(c)(3) outreach ministry of Mt. Sinai M.B. Church, which provides access to high quality medical care and social services to the homeless and uninsured members of our community. The health center was started in September 2009 as a result of a broken economy that left many individuals with insurance benefits, and the growing number of homeless men, women and children. As a result, many individuals were forced to seek care in local emergency rooms, often times for conditions that are easily manage in the outpatient setting.
Mt. Sinai Center for Health and Wellness services are provided without charge to those who qualify. Services are offered by highly trained and caring doctors, nurses, social workers, and concerned citizens, who volunteer their time and talent to improve the lives of those in need of care. Mt. Sinai is committed to reaching and meeting the needs of the masses of individuals that are infirmed in body, mind and spirit. Patients who receive care will be able to benefit from services such as: free prescription medications, social service support, emergency food, grief counseling, and employment assistance. It is the hope that through these efforts, those who enter to receive care will gain hope and prosperity in health, and depart so that they may have life and have it to the fullest.
